Treatment Approach
My approach is eclectic and integrative, combining aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal therapy (IPT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills, and mindfulness-based approaches. I strive to tailor my approach to the client’s individual needs and personal preferences, recognizing that therapy cannot be provided as a one-size-fits-all experience. Regardless of the approach, I prioritize working in collaborative manner with my clients in order to help them make progress on their personal goals and live in greater alignment with their values.
Work Experience
Prior to opening Rising Tides Psychology, I worked at PVD Psychological Associates, a group practice in the College Hill neighborhood of Providence. I have also worked at university counseling centers, including those at Providence College, Westminster Choir College, and Emmanuel College. In addition to these experiences, I previously provided therapy, psychological testing, and consultation-liaison services across various types of settings, including both medical and psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs.
About Me
When not working, I enjoy spending time watching and talking about movies, collecting vinyl albums, reading, playing classic video games, checking out new restaurants, enjoying time on the beach, playing guitar, and exploring Providence. I am also an animal lover and have two cats named Otter and Navi!
